As a species, as human beings, we strive for progression. Through exploration, inquiry, contemplation, observation, trial, error, discovery, adjustment.
These factors and more constitute experience, which leads to adaptation, and ultimately, evolution.
As individual members of the human community, our innate inclinations are no different.
Whether we use the labels of development, growth, improvement, healing.
Whether the intentions behind our actions seek tangible gain or metaphysical clarity.
However we each interpret or perceive it within our own minds, in the end, we instinctually are averse to stagnation.
To start this calendar year, I wrote a short piece titled "Be better than you were yesterday."
Through my own journey over the past twelve months, I have gained a greater general clarity, which I represent through the below evolution.
Holistic Human

Today, the word 'health' has a strong association with wellbeing from a physical standpoint, where achievement can be attributed to practice of physical activity, nutritional prudence, etc.
Further, the word also implies a 'state' which is desirable to arrive at. The end goal to 'be' healthy, as if it represents an ultimate outcome, an ideal destination to be reached.
Note, I do not highlight these points because I have any problem with these interpretations or implications; they simply are what is.
Rather, I present these points as they do not accurately represent my personal philosophy, so in evolving to Holistic Human.
To elaborate, it is not that physical health is not important. On the contrary, it is a foundational (something I will detail in future posts) to becoming 'whole'; after all, without a well-maintained and optimally-functioning vessel, how is a pilot to reach the greatest of heights?
But although it is foundational, it is merely one element, and is important that the collective harmony is not misconstrued to lean further toward one side or another.
Additionally, my belief is that the journey, whether it is growth, development, healing, or anything else, never truly ends. Thus, there is no ultimate state with which we can truly ever obtain or reach.
So, I hope this provides context behind the minor, but significant, shift and evolution of my page.
My future writing will not be scheduled, but rather, produced spontaneously, and will continue to assert my philosophy as accurately and authentically as I am able to articulate through this medium.
Here's to the next phase, to cultivating your space, and to embracing the eternal, beautiful struggle.
