Convenience isn't king, your health is.

"Convenience isn't king, your health is." - Mark Hyman

As a society, we value convenience so much.

We all live fast-paced lives and need everything around us to be able to support this way of living.

From the way we communicate, to the food that we eat, we want it all instantly.

Even the humble home-cooked meal is seen to be a chore and hassle.

Something that takes too much of our precious time.

The 'food' industry has seen this need from the busy consumer and has used convenience as one of its biggest points of appeal for decades.

This has resulted in highly processed, packaged food products with long shelf-lives.

It may be convenient, but what is it doing to your body?

Food is not supposed to last that long.

In order for it to have such a long shelf life, a bunch of synthetic additives and preservatives are added to the food products.

Naturally, these are not things our bodies can properly process and deal with.

Over time, they can have dire implications for your health, in the form of sickness and disease.

It may not be convenient to eat raw, wholefoods.

It may take time to prepare and cook your meals.

It may take some planning to cook the foods which are seasonably available.

But the question remains.

What is the price that you are willing to put on your health and wellbeing?

Strive to live, live to strive.
