"Embrace discomfort."
Discomfort is something which is shied away from.
Something which is feared.
Something which is avoided.
Something which is disruptive.
Something which makes us nervous or anxious.
Something which is challenging.
Something which is negative.
This is a misguided view.
I believe that discomfort should not be something we shy-away from.
Rather, we should embrace it.
Welcome it with open arms.
For growth lies on the other side of discomfort.
In embracing discomfort, we give ourselves the opportunity to acclimatise to it.
To adapt to it.
It proves a mental challenge to ourselves and improves your power of will.
To have power over your emotions and fears.
You cannot have complete mental mastery if you do not fully embrace discomfort.
The ability to recognise a challenge ahead.
Something which is the absolute last thing you want to do.
Something which 99% of people would walk away from.
But you do it anyway.
Be one of the few who sit within that 1%.
Embrace discomfort on your journey towards self mastery.
Strive to live, live to strive.
