Food is not just calories; it's medicine.

"Food is not just calories; it's medicine." - Mark Hyman

We eat when we're hungry.

We eat to satiate ourselves, yes.

However, it is only one of many reasons we eat.

Aside from curbing our hunger, we also eat to feed our bodies.

Not only to regulate our bodies.

But also to maintain health.

To also promote healthy growth.

Our bodies need a myriad of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to sustain life.

The right mix of these and amount of these will allow your bodies to sustain and grow optimally.

Eating well can also heal your body if it is in poor internal shape.

Foods with little-to-no nutritional value can still be high in calories.

They can still fill your belly and provide you with a satiated feeling.

But this will not help you regulate your body.

It will not help it grow.

It will likely be of detriment to your body over time.

Food choices are vital to our health and wellbeing.

Both in the short and long term.

Choose wisely.

Strive to live, live to strive.
