I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief.

"I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief." - Gerry Spence

The limits of possibility are created in the mind.

As a civilisation, we've strived towards the notion of understanding.

We need to know everything.

Apply a name, a label.

Rationalise things with a narrative.

Much of our understanding has come from the great advancement of civilisation.

The monumental rise and development of science and technology.

This ascension of society has given us a world of endless possibilities.

But paradoxically, by ascribing everything with a label, we inadvertently close turn away from things we are yet to understand.

We take the narrow view that if it isn't understood, it doesn't exist.

We close our minds to a myriad of possibilities we've not yet been able to qualify through language.

It is true that we are a very powerful, intellectual species and created an amazing world.

But it is also true that we are young, relative to our history and origin.

By viewing the world solely through the lens of what we understand, we adopt a naive, narrow-minded perspective.

There is truly magical occurrences in this universe that we are not able to define or describe using words or language.

We have merely touched the tip of the iceberg in our holistic understanding of this world and our existence within it.

By dismissing what we do not understand, we limit our own possibilities.

There is so much more beauty and wonder to this life than what is painted in black and white.

A radical open mind will allow us to experience this true beauty and wonder, fully and completely.

Strive to live, live to strive.
