"If you live, you needn’t worry. And if you die, you can't worry! So why worry?" - John "Max" Staniforth
Serving in the front line.
In the trenches.
Right in the midst of war.
And this is the philosophy which Staniforth and his comrades created to get them through each day.
Now let's bring our attention to our own lives.
"I'm going to be late."
"What will they think of me?"
"My hair looks so bad today."
"What if I make a fool of myself?"
"What if I fail?"
Well, we're fortunate enough to be able to answer with:
"Life goes on."
Worrying is like praying for what you don't want.
It only does you harm.
Stop worrying about nonsense.
Stop treading on eggshells.
Stop being afraid.
Go out, be happy, and live life.
In my latest post, "Why worry?", I detail the story of John "Max" Staniforth and the incredibly simply but powerful philosophy he and his comrades came up with to maintain a cheerful demeanour, even during the horrors of war. If you'd like to learn more, please read on.
Strive to live, live to strive.
