"It isn't true that everyone should follow one path. Listen to your own truth."- Ram Dass
There is a road-map prescribed to us in the modern world.
We are taught to follow these guidelines as if they were the only way to live.
We've taken comfort in this step-by-step guide to life.
So much so, that we've lost touch with our own inner voices.
We've forgotten how to communicate with ourselves.
We do not hear our true-selves, only the voices of those around us.
We may all be the same species, but we each have our own callings in life.
It seems silly that we allow someone else to pave our life's path for us.
Some people struggle so hard through life trying to be someone they are not.
But there are also some who are genuinely content with this lifestyle as well.
Whichever one, it is not my place to say which is right or wrong for you.
This choice is entirely yours to make.
But just know this.
There is a difference between acceptance, and true liberation and happiness.
The choice has always been, and always will be ours, and ours alone.
In my latest blog post, "What is your identity?", I detail this social construct in some depth to discuss what it means so we can better understand what it truly means to us as individuals. I also share a personal 'penny-dropping' moment where I experienced a major paradigm shift in my own life. Please read on for full post!
Strive to live, live to strive.
