"I've learned that I still have a lot to learn." - Maya Angelou
I've learnt a lot.
Especially in the last few years of my life.
About philosophy.
About the human body.
About the human mind.
About spirituality.
About history.
About excellence.
About greatness.
About life.
But I also know that I've only scratched the surface.
The more I learn, the more I feel like I don't know much.
That there is a vastness of knowledge and wisdom out there.
Ready for all of us to consume.
Ready, if you want it.
When I came to this realisation, that I don't know a lot.
I also made a commitment to myself.
That I would be a student for the rest of my life.
That I would read every day.
That I would be radically open-minded.
That I would treat every experience in life as a lesson.
That I would treat every person I encounter as a teacher.
That I would keep learning for as long as I live.
That I would be a student of life, for life.
Strive to live, live to strive.
