Knowing yourself is to be rooted in Being, instead of lost in your mind.

"Knowing yourself is to be rooted in Being, instead of lost in your mind." - Eckhart Tolle

"Being" as Eckhart Tolle describes it, is true presence, true consciousness.

Presence and consciousness of the inner self.

The real you.

Discernment between thought and Being.

Noise and quiet.

External and internal.

Activity and stillness.

Most of the time, we are lost in our minds and don't even know it.

Caught up in our thoughts.

What's for dinner?

When is that deadline?

Who is that celebrity dating?

What's the latest gadget I can get my hands on?

Where did I leave my sunglasses?

What do they really think of me?

It is literally endless.

Meditation is one of many pathways to self-realisation.

To stillness and quiet.

To your inner self.

To Being.

I delve deeper into my personal journey toward self-discovery in my latest blog post, "Meditation and me", where I share my own experiences, ruminations, tips and approaches which are working well for me.

Strive to live, live to strive.
