"No matter what role innate, genetic endowment may play in the achievements of 'gifted' people, the main gift that these people have is the same one we all have: the adaptability of the human brain and body." - Anders Ericsson

We often revere those who are ‘gifted.’

Those who are ‘born with it.’

Are genetically blessed.

Have natural born talent.

We may think that these prodigies come into the world with a head-start.

This may be true, in principle.

But what does this actually mean in practice?

Yes, talent is important.

Yes, it helps.

But, as we’ve seen in history, time and time again, there is always one factor which proves far more important.

That is the foundation and source of power for the human spirit.

That if leveraged, is far more powerful than natural born talent.

It is the power of the human mind.

Its ability to grow.

To learn.

To adapt.

To flourish.

To help you build the life you desire.

Talent is great, but it can never compare to the power of the human mind when harnessed fully, purposefully, and intentionally.

We’re all born with this power.

Ensure you make the most of it.

In my latest Book Review #8, I review "Peak" by Anders Ericsson & Robert Pool, as well as two other great titles. Please have a read to see the full reviews!

Strive to live, live to strive.
