I live my life on my own terms and not anyone else's.
I am an individual, just like everyone else.
As an individual, I have my own beliefs.
My own values.
My own principles in life.
As does everyone else.
Everyone has their own goals in life.
Their own deep-seated dreams.
Their own expression that they want to share with the world.
But society is judgemental.
It has told us what the ideal mould of life should look like.
And if it does not fit within that mould, you're an outsider.
You don't fit in.
You're to be looked upon questionably.
You're to be labelled.
You're to be judged.
You're made to question yourself and your own dreams.
You're made to suppress your soul's desires.
To live someone else's life.
But you know what?
Everyone has their own opinion, which they are certainly entitled to.
Whether it is the opinion of society or truly their own.
That is all it is - an opinion.
We can let the opinion of society dictate how we live our lives.
Draw the outlines of life for us.
Provide us with the 'optimal' mould.
Or you can live your life as it was intended.
As you were born to live it.
Per your soul's true desires.
Your true purpose.
On your own terms.
I choose this, one hundred times out of one hundred.
