"Our progress, our growth and our happiness come from our ability to look within ourselves and ask the important questions." - Tal Ben-Shahar, Pd.D
Does the size and stability of your family determine how far you've progressed in life?
Does an executive position in a big corporation define your growth?
Do the number of zeros in your bank account tell us how happy we are?
Perhaps, but not necessarily.
What we do know is that happiness does not come externally.
It is found internally.
From within.
From a deep understanding of what is truly important in our own lives.
And from this understanding, knowing what gives you meaning.
What gives you purpose.
This is where fulfilment lies.
Where contentment is found.
Where you find true happiness and joy in life.
In my latest Book Review #6, I review Tal Ben-Shahar's 'Happier', a great title which delves deeper into the concept of true happiness. Please have a read for the full review of this book as well as two other great titles.
Strive to live, live to strive.
