"Reality is a narrative played out in the sealed auditorium of the cranium." - David Eagleman
Do you believe that the reality around you is as it appears?
Do you believe that your experience of life is absolute?
It may not be as simple as you think.
The story of your life is constructed entirely in your mind.
A collection of sensory information, from sight, sound, taste, touch, smell.
Combined with neurological pathways which have been developed over time.
Through your own experiences throughout life.
Plus the memories you've retained during this time.
All this is mixed together in the cauldron of your mind.
Mixed together to create the experiences you are having at each and every moment.
Each and every element contributes towards creating the experiences of reality you have.
They all play an important role.
So reality as we know it may be a little more complex than we may think.
You have a lot more control of your own reality than you may think.
So as the old saying goes, change your mind, change your life.
In my latest "Book Review #9", I review Daniel Eagleman's "The Brain", a detailed look at the intricate workings of the human brain, as well as two other great titles. Please read more for the full reviews.
Strive to live, live to strive.
