It is not easy to be genuine in todays society.
It is not easy to show your true colours.
It is not easy to put yourself out there to the world.
It is not easy to reflect deeply within yourself.
It is not easy to face your inner demons.
Whilst all the pressure is heaped upon you.
Whilst you juggle your own commitments and responsibilities.
Whilst you judge yourself.
Whilst the whole world judges you.
It is not easy.
It is also not easy to live a life by other people's standards.
Maintain and exude a fictional identity.
To constantly need to hold back your deepest truths.
To live a lie.
Both paths are difficult.
One path comes with supreme satisfaction and leads to true, perpetual contentment.
The other is toxic, inflammatory, painful and induces prolonged stress in order to maintain.
We get to choose: choose wisely.
Strive to live, live to strive.
