The opposite for courage is not cowardice; it is conformity. Even a dead fish can go with the flow.

"The opposite for courage is not cowardice; it is conformity. Even a dead fish can go with the flow." - Jim Hightower

We live in a society where we all have a mould.

A model to which we want to live up to.

A generic aspiration for the same goal.

A common definition of what it means to be successful.

Industry and marketing play a big part in shaping the mould.

Anything which is outside of this mould is seen as irregular.

Not normal.

Strange.

Weird.

But in truth, those who have broken the mould and shaped their own paths are the truly successful.

The truly courageous.

Those who've followed their hearts and their instincts rather than sought the comfortable path.

The safe route where they cannot be criticised or shot at.

Society's relentless scrutiny has made it difficult for people to flourish and follow their personal, innate definitions of success.

But the choice you have and the associated outcomes are clear.

Anyone can go with the flow of conformity.

The question is, will you watch your dreams as they pass you by and forever leave the question 'what if' unanswered?

Strive to live, live to strive.
