"The trouble is you think you have time." - Buddha
I'll do it tomorrow.
Oh, it can wait.
A couple of days delay won't be a problem.
Maybe I'll look at it next week.
I'll get started later.
Do these sound familiar?
We've all used these before to convince ourselves or others.
We procrastinate.
We get lazy.
We choose to do something else.
ANYTHING else!
But in most instances, our time being limited on this earth does not play into our decision making process.
We think it won't matter.
It's like we forget that we will one day leave this earth.
We cannot predict how long we have left.
Not to be grim, but this is simply the reality of it.
I am not saying rest is for the weak.
That fun is not allowed.
Far from it.
It is simply about balance.
A balance where your vocation holds the highest priority.
The worst thing that can happen is at the end, we have unanswered questions.
That we ask, "what if...?"
This, is the ultimate tragedy.
In my latest blog post, "A Virtual Reality", I provide an outside-of-the-box perspective on the value of time, with the hope of inciting some deeper self-reflection on the subject. Please read on for full post.
Strive to live, live to strive.
