When something happens, the only thing in your power is your attitude toward it; you can either accept it or resent it.

“When something happens, the only thing in your power is your attitude toward it; you can either accept it or resent it.” – Epictetus

Your mood and how you feel.

They are both completely within your own control.

You have the choice.

If you are in a good mood or a bad mood.

If you feel great or feel miserable.

You can say that it is because of someone else's actions.

That their actions had a direct impact on you and whatever you are concerned with at the time.

That the weather threw your plans completely out of alignment.

That an unexpected circumstance delayed your schedule.

It doesn't matter what it is.

You can choose to sit there and let these unexpected situations halt your progress.

You can choose to stress over a change of plans.

You can choose to be anxious over something not turning out like you envisioned.

Or you can accept.

Accept that things can change.

Accept that not everything is under your control.

Accept that things don't always go according to plan.

This is life.

You can either play victim and be miserable.

Or you can accept and adapt.

Strive to live, live to strive.
