"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." - Steve Jobs
We all know what the prescribed path to success is.
Many of us have experienced it.
Many of us still live it on a day-to-day.
Getting a good education.
Finding a job in a reputable business or firm.
Spending you career climbing the ladder.
Grinding until you're 65 years old and retiring, ready to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Getting married and starting a family in-between.
If this is truly for you, all power to you!
If some elements resonate with you and some don't, that's great, too!
If it doesn't sit well with you at all, cool!
Whichever way you choose go, know that you have complete control in making this decision.
If a certain path isn't for you, do not waste a significant portion of your life walking down it!
Without this visionary insight, as well as the courage to walk the desired path, the world wouldn't be what it is today.
Brands like Apple and Tesla may not exist.
Now, I'm not suggesting that we all need to be Steve Jobs or Elon Musk.
They are both inspirational role models and should be aspired towards.
But that's not the point.
The point is, they followed their hearts.
They did what they knew they needed to do.
Whether it's being a world visionary aspiring to take humanity to Mars, or being the best damn parent to their children that ever could, it doesn't matter!
Your heart knows best, so listen.
Choose to spend your time following this calling.
Do not waste a moment doing something you do not want to do.
In my latest blog post, "A Virtual Reality", I provide an outside-of-the-box perspective on the value of time, with the hope of inciting some deeper self-reflection on the subject. Please read on for full post.
Strive to live, live to strive.
